Lisa Eldridge inspired 'Metallic smoky eye'

If you follow beauty youtube gurus, or are interested in the world of beauty at all I'm sure you are familiar with Lisa Eldridge. I was checking my Youtube subscriptions the other day and I was intrigued to see Lisa's 'metallic smokey eyes-dramatic runway version' video. In the video she used mainly a matte black eyeshadow and Mac copper sparkle pigment, which I have. So when I went out shopping and came back with Sleek's 'molten metal duo' I noticed that it would go great with the look and decided to give it a go.
Lisa's version was a runway edition so obviously I toned mine down a little but the similarities are still there.
I am sooo happy with the end result! I wore it on a night out and I felt like I was wearing a superhero mask!
So here's the look I created, followed by a list of the products I used:

And the two most important ingredients in this look were the Sleek Molten Metal duo (£6.99) and Mac 'copper sparkle' pigment (£15.50-but I'm sure there would be a cheaper Barry M dupe):

I absolutely love how the look turned out and it felt like a really nice change to wear bold metallic colours on a night out. I also think it would be really nice as a new years look.
So thankyou Lisa Eldridge for the inspiration!

Products used:
Face:
Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer-mix of 1 & 2, Mac matchmaster foundagtion-1.0, Maybelline dream matte powder- 02 rose ivory, Bourjois delice de soleil bronzer-12 light/medium, Mac cream blush-something special, Jemma kidd dewy glow-02 rose gold

Eyes:Illamasqua brow cake-thunder, Elf eyelid primer, Mac-nylon(brow highlight), Mac blue my mind trio(the black-any matte black will do), Sleek molten metal eyeshadow duo (lighter gold-inner corner, darker gold-patted on centre of lid), Mac copper sparkle pigment (patted on top of the gold), Mac smoulder eye kohl(waterline), Rimmel lash accelorator mascara, Clinique bottom lash mascara.

Lips: Mac lipliner- dervish, Mac lipstick-innocence, beware!

And here is Lisa Eldridges video which my look was based on:

If you've been wondering where I've been I can only appologise and say it has been a mixure of lack of inspiration and moving into my new uni house/settling back in. To help me get back into my blogging mojo I would really appreciate any requests.

  1. Love this :) Xsparkage's Leesha did something similar with the MAC gold pigment from the Surf, Baby! collection earlier this year, but I like the copper better. It's making your eyes look so green :) If you get a chance can you check out my blog? Thanks Rachy <3

  7. This looks FREAKING gorgeous!

The Jemma Kidd highlighter is lovely, too...

I discovered your blog with a Google search for her Rose Gold highlighter - but, for a product with the word 'Rose' in it, I don't see much (or any, ha ha!) pink. :0)

    Does the highlighter contain fragrance?
