2 FOTD's- My skin's getting better!

So if you follow me on twitter I'm sure you've heard my rants about my poor skin. I also did a post a week or so ago. Basically I had a reaction, got reccomended a bunch of creams, the University doctor said I didn't need to see them and just wait it out, I made them see me, and they gave me steroid cream and Aveeno moisturiser. I wish I could have just had them in the first place because my skin has pretty much cleared completely now in 2 days (touchwood!)

Yesterday I was still laying off the makeup on my cheeks so that FOTD is more eyes and lips of the day, with a little added highlight in the cheekbones ;)

-The first look is yesterday's FOTD (still some redness on my cheeks) and the second look is todays, notice how much my skin has improved :)

Yesterday:

Face: Jemma kid dewy glow- rose gold (on cheekbones)
Eyes: Bobbi Brown corrector- porcelain bisue, Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer- 1 fair, Illamasqua brow cake-thunder, Gosh velvet touch eyeliner- golden globe (as e/s base on lid/under eye), Inglot eyeshadows: AMC shine 30 (pearl-browbones), AMC shine 25 (gold-lid), pearl 433 (green-crease), Pixi gel liner- onyx, Collection 2000 skyscraper mascara

Lips: Topshop satin lipstick- ohh la la

Today (notice clearer skin and makeup on face- yay!):

Face: Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer- 1 fair, Surf baby cheek powder- My paradise, Jemma Kidd dewy glow radiance cream- 02 rose gold,

Eyes: Bobbi brown corrector- porcelain bisque, Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer, Mac prep + prime eye-light, Illamasqua brow cake- thunder, MAC e/s: Shroom, gleam, All that glitters, Mac kohl liner- I get no kick, Pixi gel liner- onyx, Collection 2000 skyscraper lash

Lips: MAC lisptick: Vegas volt.

You can probably tell from these pictures that I'm really feeling the glowy face with peachy and coral lips at the moment, so these will probably be a couple of my staple looks for this summer

What are you're staple looks for the summer?

Colourful superdrug haul: Gosh, Revlon & FOTD

So today I packed up revision early and went to Superdrug to reward myself for the measly amount of work i'd done. Here's my purchases:

1. colourful Babyliss hairbands- my hair has finally grown long enough to tie up so I invested in some bright hairbands to go with all the bright makeup i'm feeling lately.
2. Revlon super lustrous gloss in 170 Coral reef- My first revlon lipgloss and I am very impressed.for £6.99 this gloss is reasonable and the colour is a gorgeous peachy coral with no glitter.

3.Gosh mono eyeshadow in Golden green- this pretty acid green caught my eye immeditly and the colour reminds me of the eyeshadow colour Pixiwoo Sam used in the Katy Perry look a while ago.

4. Gosh velvet touch eyeliner in 009 Golden globe- in Superdrug they are doing a deal on the mono eyeshadows where you get one of these eyeliners free (so both came to £5.99), and I chose this pretty yellowy-gold.

Swatches:

Gosh velvet touch eyeliner-golden globe, Gosh mono eyeshadow- golden green, Revlon lipgloss- Coral reef

And of course everytime I buy any new makeup I get excited and go home and try it on. Here's what the eyeshadow and lipgloss look like:

I loveeee this look, it was a really simple look and I can tell is one i'll be wearing alot over the summer.

(I also used Mac virgin isle on the cheeks and Pixi Gel eyeliner)

Superhaul review part 1: Gosh & sleek pout polish

As promised..here's what I think about a few of my superhaul items:

You may have seen the new Gosh lip markers advertised, and I'm sure you've all come across the maxfactor ones. I havn't tried the maxfactor ones (other than swatching) and to be honest when I saw the Gosh ones advertised at £4.99 each (with a 3 for 2 deal also on Gosh cosmetics) I decided to check them out. What I found is that the packaging and the colours appealed to me much more than the maxfactor ones which I havn't felt a particular urge to buy. I'm glad I made the purchase and I am also glad that I chose two such pretty, bold colours. And of course the gorgeous free nailvarnish was an added bonus.

The Sleek pout polish is something I have seen praised on Vivianna's favourite lipgloss youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVlROZfAK70&feature=player_embedded so I decided it was time to try for myself.

Gosh lasting lipmarkers in:004 Berry & 001 Red (although I would call it more of a bright orange/red)

Sleek pout polish- Electro peach

There is a reason that I put the Gosh markers and the pout polish in the same post, and that is because I discovered that Electro peach pout polish looks gorgeous over the Red (orangey) marker.

Im sorry I havn't done any photos with them on my lips, they are a little dry today but I can supply you with a swatch photo to demonstrate. (I do love the lipmarkers so I'm sure they will be featuring in up and coming FOTD'S)Left to right: Gosh lipmarker- Red, Sleek pout polish-electro peach, Electro peach over red marker. As you can hopefully see, layering the two enhances the colour and adds a nice gloss.

I love all of these Lip products, the markers are super-longlasting and the pout polish adds a subtle hint of colour with a pleasant scent. All 3 of these lip products will be becoming handbag regulars of mine.

And now for a pretty self explanatory NOTD:

Gosh nail laquer- 001 Lavender love

Such a pretty coloured polish. My first Gosh polish and I found it very easy to apply and so far no chips.

Next installment of superhaul reviews to come tommorow!
